Registration Open For Aspirus’ Free Bone & Joint Solutions Event

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Your passions shouldn’t cause you pain. That’s what the area’s most comprehensive orthopedic team will share with the community during Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital’s Bone and Joint Solutions event in Houghton on Monday, June 4.

The Bone and Joint Solutions event is free and takes place at 5:30 p.m. in Michigan Tech’s Memorial Union Ballroom. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk directly to Aspirus Keweenaw’s surgeons and therapists about healing pain in their hands, shoulders, knees and hips. Appetizer fare by Chef Eric Karvonen and light refreshments will be provided. Participants must register in advance to attend by calling 337.6541.

On hand will be Orthopedic Surgeons Mark Kelley, MD, FACS; and Frederick Rau, M; and Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner Clint Pakkala, NP-C. Physical and Occupational Therapists will cover topics including types of therapy, restrictions after a joint replacement procedure, and how therapy can help reduce pain after surgery. This will be the second Bone and Joint Solutions event Aspirus Keweenaw has held for the community.

“This is a great opportunity to come out and meet our orthopedic team,” said Sharon Fisher, orthopedic service line director for Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. “You’ll learn that all of the excellent care you need is right here.”

Register today for Aspirus Keweenaw’s Bone and Joint Solutions event by calling 337.6541. The event is free and open to the public.
