Besides eating a delicious pasty, the best thing about Pastyfest may be the parade!
Pastyfest begins at noon this Saturday, with the parade scheduled to step off at its new time—2pm.
Participants will line up on Mine Street facing the 6th Street Extension starting at 12:30.
Main Street Calumet Executive Director Leah Polzien says the time change should encourage people to stick around and enjoy the festival longer.
The parade will proceed north along 6th Street, and will end at Elm Street.
Businesses, organizations and individuals who plan to participate in the parade should register today by clicking here.
Three $50.00 prizes will be awarded in the following categories; Commercial, Non-profit/private group, and Best Spirit.
Units that do not register in advance will not be eligible for prizes.
PastyFest activities for the whole family begin at noon and continue all afternoon in downtown Calumet featuring street vendors, exhibits, live music at two locations, kids’ games and more.
