Range Lounge Robbery Case Headed To Trial

The case against a Houghton County woman accused of robbing the South Range VFW is headed to trial.

37-year-old Sasha Anderson of South Range is facing charges of Embezzlement, a ten year felony, and Larceny, a five year felony, and making a false report of a felony, punishable by up to four years in prison.

Anderson is one of two suspects who allegedly took part in robbing the Range Lounge where Anderson worked at in December 2015.

The second suspect is 37-year-old Clinton Jarriel.

Appearing in Houghton County Circuit Court Monday, Anderson’s attorney said they are prepared to take the case in front of a jury.

The trial is scheduled to take place next month.
