Quiet Meetings for CLK, LL-H School Boards

Two local school districts reported quiet board of education meetings this week.

The CLK board noted that Calumet High School did well in a recent Newsweek Magazine ranking of STEM programs in high schools across the nation, placing in the top 13 percent. The board accepted the retirement notice of Washington Middle School custodian Paul Meneguzzo, and appointed Julia Smit to the CLK Elementary School paraprofessional position, and Lenny Torola and Cooper Twardzik as co-coaches of the JV boys’ basketball team.

Board members also recognized the district’s fall high school and middle school sports teams on their accomplishments.

The Lake Linden-Hubbell board also saluted its fall sports squads. Superintendent Brad Codere said the board received and approved its 2018-2019 financial audit at an otherwise uneventful meeting.
