PublicWorksTraining.com In Hancock Making Strides With New Partnership

A Hancock company is now able to offer a broader range of learning and workforce development services to public works agencies, thanks to a new partnership.

PublicWorksTraining.com, operating out of the Jutila Center, will now be working with Mastery Training Content Network.

Co-founder and Chief Development Officer of PublicWorksTraining.com John Ryynanen says this partnership will make valuable training videos more accessible.

“We were able to add hundreds of online training titles literally in a week by establishing this partnership,” said Ryynanen.  “And the training titles we added are really needed at the public works agencies.  There’s a lot of safety training, for one thing. and everybody is continuously looking for great safety training.”

With the vast resources of Mastery Training Content Network, Ryynanen and his partner Terry McNinch can better meet the needs of their customers.

Ryynanen said, “In a typical corporate training environment, the lead time is six to eight months, even a year for some training titles, and with just my business partner Terry McNinch and I actually producing the training, that development cycle was just taking a long time.”

Online training includes topics ranging from workplace and personal safety, to human resource management, EPA compliance, team building, and supervisory skills.

PublicWorksTraining.com Expands Online Training Offering with New Partnership

Innovative agreement provides public works agencies access to
affordable online safety and workforce development training

Hancock, MI –  PublicWorksTraining.com is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Mastery Training Content Network (MasteryTCN™). This partnership enables PublicWorksTraining.com to offer a broader range of learning and workforce development services to public works agencies, both directly and through the national network of Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP) offices.

With MasteryTCN, PublicWorksTraining.com can now offer to public works agencies hundreds of online training titles on topics ranging from workplace and personal safety, to human resource management, EPA compliance, team building, and supervisory skills. “We’re thrilled to enter into this partnership with Mastery,” said John Ryynanen, cofounder and Chief Development Officer of PublicWorksTraining.com. “Everywhere I go across the country, public works professionals are asking for these training topics; the courses from Mastery will be a great complement to our existing one-of-a-kind online courses.”

This partnership also solves a less obvious problem with training in in the public works industry. “Typically, online training has been offered based on single seats, where each learner accesses the training individually,” Ryynanen explained. “But thousands of rural counties and small cities simply don’t have the technical infrastructure and facilities to accommodate this kind of arrangement.”

To solve the problem, Terance McNinch, PublicWorksTraining.com cofounder and CEO, worked with Jeff Holth, Channel Partner Program Manager at MasteryTCN, to map out a unique national group licensing agreement. “We crafted an agreement that allows us to offer the courses in tiered groups instead of individual licenses,” McNinch said. “This arrangement—presentations for groups—is more common in a public works department, and it fits perfectly into the model for training delivery that LTAP and TTAP centers use.  I’m excited that Jeff and the team at Mastery were willing to work with us to solve this long-standing problem.”

PublicWorksTraining.com also offers bulk pricing and Learning Management System (LMS) setup and support, which makes managing and distributing training very efficient and surprisingly affordable.
