The Houghton City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 12th on the proposed budget for the 2019/2020 fiscal year. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at 5:30pm.
The budget runs from 7/1/2019 through 6/30/2020. The subject of the hearing will be the proposed property tax millage to be levied to support for the 2019/2020 budget of 15.0 mills.
Following the Public Hearing on the budget, the City Council will hold a Public Hearing on the Capital Improvement Plan, which will be followed by the Regular Meeting of the Houghton City Council.
During the Regular Meeting, the City Council will act on the 2019/2020 Budget, and the Capital Improvement Plan.
Copies of the proposed 2019/20 Budget and Capital Improvement Plan are available from the City Offices Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or at cityofhoughton.com/info-hearings.php.
