Protestors are expected to pack roads around the state capitol in Lansing, to send Governor Whitmer a message that some Michiganders are fed up with her response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Operation Gridlock, as it’s been called by organizers from Michigan’s Conservative Coalition, is a response to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home Stay Safe” Executive Order, originally signed on March 23rd, then recently extended through the end of April.
Meshawn Maddock, spokesperson for Michigan’s Conservative Coalition said “Safe businesses and safe workers need to get back to work.”
The protest is set to begin at noon.
