The Portage Lake District Library will host the Sexual Assault Service Coordinator for Dial Help for a presentation this evening at 6pm.
Peggy Sullivan will discuss “Sexual Assault: What You Should Know.”
She will explain what sexual assault is and how to report it.
Sullivan will also discuss services that are available that can assist sexual assault survivors, and she will explain how individuals can make a difference in the life of a survivor.
As a Sexual Assault Service Coordinator, Sullivan works to ensure community-wide appropriate response to survivors of sexual assault and provides crisis intervention and advocacy for sexual assault victims in Houghton, Baraga, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties.
The program is free and everyone is welcome.
