Author and local historian John Haeussler will give a presentation next week on Lost Hancock.
The event will take place at the Hancock Public Library on Monday, August 19th at 6pm.
Haeussler will present an illustrated history of this historic town, consisting of pre-1940 images, focusing on structures that no longer stand today.
Audience participation is encouraged and there will be time for questions, answers, and additional discussion following the presentation.
John Haeussler is the author of Hancock (Arcadia Publishing, 2014), released in Arcadia’s Images of America series. Previously he co-authored and co-edited Hancock’s sesquicentennial publication, Hidden Gems and Towering Tales: A Hancock, Michigan Anthology (City of Hancock, 2013). John, his wife Megan, and their children Maggie and Jack have resided in Hancock since 2007.
Books will also be for sale, with all proceeds to benefit the Hancock School Public Library.
