Portage Lake District Library Hosts French Canadian Storytime

Young children are invited to celebrate French Canadian Heritage Week during Storytime on Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28, at 10:15 a.m. and on Saturday, September 30, at 11:00 a.m. at the Portage Lake District Library.

Kids will take an imaginary journey from France to Canada, clap their hands to the rhythm of a musical performance by Dave Bezotte and Evan Dixon, listen to stories about the north, learn how to count in French, and make a voyageur canoe.

Children are also invited to attend the library’s regular Storytimes every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:15 a.m. during the school year. Kids will anjoy stories, craft projects, occasional music, and lots of fun.
