Portage Health Foundation Has 1st Community Health Educator

Portage Health Foundation now has it’s first Community Health Educator.

Meghan Jaszczak, a Houghton native and Michigan State graduate, has spent the last three years as a clinical dietician, before taking on Community Health Organizer duties.

She’s eager to start working with local organizations to bring change to the community with healthier foods and lifestyle changes.

Jaszczak has teamed up with the Portage Lake District Library to bring Biblio Bistro back for a second season.

Biblio Bistro is a cooking series, which highlights local produce that can be found at most Farmer’s Markets, and will be available throughout the Summer.

Director of Community Health, Dr. Michelle Seguin, said she is thrilled to have Meghan on their team.
