Portage Health Auxiliary Launches “Lights of Love” Campaign

The Portage Health Auxiliary is kicking off its annual Lights of Love campaign.

Each year, the Auxiliary decorates and lights a Christmas tree “in honor of those still with us” and “in memory of those who have gone before us.”

A donation of $5.00 or more for each  name reserves a light in honor of or memorializing a loved one, a friend, or organization.

All names will be displayed in the lobby of UP Health System – Portage throughout the holiday season.

All donations to the lights of love program will go into a fund which provides scholarships to students from Houghton, Baraga, Keweenaw and Ontonagon Counties who are pursuing careers in the healthcare field.

This year’s Lights of Love ceremony will be held November 17 at 10 a.m. at the UP Health System-Portage main campus in Hancock. In order for your name(s) to be displayed, donations must be received no later than November 3.

Donation forms can be picked up at The Guilded Rose Gift Shop, located in the main lobby of UP Health System-Portage. Donations may also be mailed to: Portage Health Auxiliary, 500 Campus Drive, Hancock, MI 49930
