Police Investigate Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting, which took place Sunday morning, in Greenland Township.

Approximately 8:35am, Michigan State Police, along with the Ontonagon Sheriff’s Department, responded to a call, where a man had been shot.

The victim, a 23 year old male from Ontonagon, was originally transported to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital, but was later transferred to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

The extent of his injuries is unknown.

The suspect, a 24 year old male from Greenland Township, was taken into custody, and is currently in the Ontonagon County Jail.
