Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post and Baraga Detachment are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child from L’Anse.
The child was brought by a guardian to Baraga County Memorial Hospital on December 23rd.
The child was unresponsive and was later transferred to Milwaukee Children’s Hospital where the child passed away on December 26th.
An autopsy was performed by a Medical Examiner in Milwaukee and is pending further examination results.
The death remains under investigation and more information will be released at a later date.
