A plea agreement has been reached for a Houghton County drug suspect.
52-year-old Anthony James Vencato appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court Monday for an arraignment.
He pled guilty to Attempted Possession of Meth or Ecstasy, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
As per the plea deal, the initial charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance was dismissed, along with a probation violation.
Vencato will also not be charged as a habitual offender.
He was arrested along with 28-year-old Kevin Michael Anderson on August 29th when UPSET Detectives searched two houses in Atlantic Mine.
Vencato testified he was found with meth in his wallet at the time of his arrest.
He will be sentenced in about four weeks.
Anderson is awaiting a preliminary exam in 97th District Court on October 17th.
