Plea Deal Being Discussed For Heroin Suspect

A case against a Detroit man accused of delivering and manufacturing heroin in Lake Linden continues.

25 year-old Breon Garner appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court Friday.

Garner was originally arrested in March following a warranted search by UPSET detectives of a residence in Lake Linden.

The defense said a pending case in Baraga County on Tuesday will determine the future of how far the trial goes in Houghton.

If a plea deal is agreed upon in Baraga, then a resolution could be implemented in the next few days.

If no agreement is reached, Garner’s attorney said they are prepared to stand trial in Houghton.

Another pre-trial for this case has been scheduled.
