The Portage Lake District Library is beginning a delivery service for homebound patrons.
Officials say they’ll bring materials to cardholders who live within the library service areas of the City of Houghton and Portage Township… and to those who live no more than 10 miles outside the service area boundaries.
Delivery is available to those who are unable to travel to the library because of illness, physical disability, or lack of transportation; and to those who are not comfortable using in-person services at this time because of the COVID19 pandemic.
Participants must hold a valid library card, and not have any unpaid fines, or be responsible for missing or damaged materials. Call the library at 482-4570 for more information.
