Pine Ridge Apartment Residents Remain Displaced

Marquette city officials continue to evaluate the condition of the Pine Ridge apartment building, which was damaged by a fire earlier this week.

Meanwhile, many residents of the building continue to be sheltered at the Superior Dome on the campus of Northern Michigan University.

Because of the extensive damage done to the roof of the apartment building, it is not known just how long the residents will need to be housed at the shelter.

Officials say they will continue to receive all the available resources that are being offered to them by NMU, the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.

Food gift card donations are being accepted at this time and can be donated at the Lake Superior Village.
