Progress is being made on the Greenhouse Project for the Copper Country Intermediate School District.
Community Transition Program teacher Karyn Juntunen gave the CCISD Board an update on the project at their regular meeting this week.
After working on the project all summer, Phase 1 of the project has been successfully completed, including the installation of the cement slab, plumbing and electrical.
Students from Michigan Tech helped to move the pieces of the greenhouse to its new location at the CCISD in Hancock.
The next step will be to assemble the greenhouse.
When this project is complete, it will be accessible to all students and used as an extension of the classroom for students attending school at the Copper Country ISD.
