Performers Sought For Red Jacket Jamboree

The Red Jacket Jamboree is seeking performers for its old-time radio variety show.

The jamboree showcases stories and songs from Michigan’s Copper Country and the Upper Great Lakes.

Musicians, singer/songwriters, poets, and storytellers perform in front of a live audience at the historic Calumet Theatre.

The show is radio broadcast at a later date.

For the October 2017 show, they are looking for people to share stories of adventure in the Keweenaw that might start with the phrase “You’re not going to believe this….”.

These stories can be based on historical fact or fiction!

Stories must be told in under 4 minutes.

For the 2018 season of The Red Jacket Jamboree, they are looking for poets, storytellers, musicians, singer/songwriters and actors to perform or provide input.

They also need volunteers and sponsors to help make this happen.

If you’re interested, send an email to realpeoplemedia@gmail.com, with “The Red Jacket Jamboree” in the header and tell us your skills or interests.

The Red Jacket Jamboree is a production of Main Street Calumet and Real People Media
