It’s time to start thinking ahead to Pastyfest.
A planning meeting for Pastyfest 2017 will be held Monday, February 13th at 6pm at the Miners and Merchants Building Conference Room in Calumet.
Organizers say the plan is to hold the event on 5th Street again this year but hope to make some changes.
They welcome input from the community and vendors, as well as find volunteers to help organize and run some events.
At the meeting, they will discuss possibly starting the event later in the day, altering or eliminating the T-Shirt Design Contest, finding someone to take over the children’s activities, changes to the Pasty Bake-Off and the need for volunteers for the Bake-Off, Pasty Eating Contest and for the Parade.
