Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Centers Earns Another 5 Star Rating

Make it four in a row for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center.

They have again received a 5 star performance rating for Patient Experience from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

They have received 5 stars, going back to 2017.

More impressive is that only 8 VA Medical Centers throughout the country have received 5 stars, and we have one in the Western Upper Peninsula.

Results are based on scores collected by the federal administrator of the nations major healthcare programs.

Jim Rice, medical center director said he was honored to be rated by the CMS at 5 stars for the patient experience.

They have won the 5 star rating four times, and this is the second consecutive year that the facility has been awarded the VHA Best Experience Award for Level 3 facilities by the Department of Veterans Affairs at the 2020 Veterans Patient Experience Symposium held in Washington DC.
