Ontonagon will celebrate the end of the summer season with its 63rd Labor Day Festival.
Activities begin tonight, with a picnic at 5:00 at the Marina, followed by the stone-skipping contest.
Tomorrow’s highlights include the auto show and Maxwell Street Day. Line-up for the kiddies parade begins at 11:30, and registration for the bed races opens at 1:30. The Copper Country Clown Band and the Mike Urbis Band will provide live music through the afternoon.
On Sunday, the main parade steps off at 2:00. Communityfest runs from 4:00 until 10:00 at the Community Center, with music from Easy Money. See the full Ontonagon Labor Day Festival schedule here.
