Ontonagon County Home Destroyed by Fire

A home in Ontonagon County was destroyed by fire Sunday evening.

Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department officials say the building was fully engulfed in flames when volunteer firefighters from the Ontonagon, Greenland and Rockland departments arrived around 5:30. They remained at the scene until 1:30 Monday morning.

Occupants of the home were able to escape without injury. The house at 19641 North Firesteel Road is considered a total loss.
