One person is dead following a house fire in Sagola Township.
Firefighters were called to the home on highway M-95 between Channing and Sagola just after 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
They and state police troopers discovered the body inside the building after the blaze was extinguished.
Another person escaped from the home, but suffered from smoke inhalation.
The name of the victim has not been released. An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
The Breitung Township Fire Department reports that M-95 was closed at the site of the fire for about two hours.
