The Ojibwa Casinos in Baraga and Marquette have recently approved renovations and expansions for the first time since they opened. The newly constructed casino planned for Marquette would create an “Entertainment Mecca”.
The $33.5 million Marquette project will include a three star 80 room hotel, 1200 seat entertainment complex, three branded restaurants, 400-seat state of the art conference facility, and the gaming floor will increase to accommodate 500 slot machines. A groundbreaking ceremony will be hosted at the Ojibwa Casino in Marquette on Tuesday December 6th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Baraga casino will be given a $6.5 million facelift that will greatly enhance the guest’s experience. The project will include the expansion of the existing gaming facility and many other infrastructure upgrades. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Ojibwa Casino Baraga will take place on Wednesday December 7th at 10 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
This $40 million investment to the properties will not only enhance the overall guest experience but also uniquely position them in the Upper Peninsula gaming market.
A completion date is expected of late 2017 or early 2018.
