Two popular Copper Country establishments have been identified as potential COVID-19 exposure sites.
The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department says people who were at Nutini’s Supper Club in Hancock from September 9th through September 16th… and the Downtowner Lounge in Houghton September 17th through September 19th… may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus.
Officials report that staff members or patrons who were infected were at those sites, and that masking and social distancing guidelines were not consistently being followed.
Both facilities have voluntarily closed for cleaning.
If you were at Nutini’s or the Downtowner on those dates, you may have been exposed.
Symptoms typically begin within two to 14 days after infection. If you develop a cough, fever, or shortness of breath, you should contact your doctor immediately.
Those who have been in close contact with you since that time are also at increased risk.
