North Wind Books is hosting a four-part series of events this July titled Children’s Unique Books. These events will highlight unique themed children’s books and each feature a special guest host. Events are free, open to the public and no RSVP is required. Each event begins at 11 a.m.
JULY 10 – MUSIC
Soren Schmidt, Finlandia University Campus Pastor, will be bringing his guitar to sing and read books.
JULY 17 – ANIMALS
Leslie Helakoski, Children’s Author & Illustrator, will be reading her newly released children’s book, Hoot & Honk. She will be doing a drawing demo and bringing along wool in different phases allowing children to touch and feel.
JULY 24 – SPORTS
Riku F. Lion, Finlandia University athletic mascot, will be in attendance for reading and to visit with children after.
JULY 31 – ROCKS
Margaret Hanson, Assistant Director A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum. Featuring children’s stories of rock hunting. Children will also have an opportunity to participate in a hands-on beach stone identification.
