NMU Trustees to Interview Presidential Candidates Today

The four candidates to become the next president of Northern Michigan University will meet with the school’s board of trustees today.

The candidates are:
• Debra S. Larson, provost and vice president of academic affairs at California State University, Chico, and an Ishpeming native.
• Brock Tessman, Deputy Commissioner of Higher Education for the Montana University System.
• Meera Komarrajum provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
• Mike Godard, provost at Southeast Missouri State University.

All four were introduced to students, faculty and community members over the past 10 days.

Once today’s interviews are completed, the trustees will schedule a special public meeting to cast the vote.
