A Keweenaw investment company is settling in as it operates for its first week in a new location.
Edward Jones has moved its Calumet location to a newly renovated downtown facility.
“I’m a financial advisor with Edward Jones and I meet with people and help them plan for retirement and do estate planning,” said Shelly Larson of the Calumet branch who is enthusiastic about the downtown move.
Larson said, “We were over in the Mine Street Station and we just had the building remodeled here and we are so excited about being in Calumet in the downtown area and having a historical building.”
The new location recently had its grand opening celebration and is now open for business at 217 Sixth St.
Larson says that her and her team is looking forward to many years of serving the residents of Calumet.
“We want to help people reach their financial goals and to get to retirement if that’s what their goal is, or to help with the planning of their estates. Get their money working for them,” said Larson.
The new location is open Monday – Friday with standard banking hours, and an additional three hours on Thursday evenings.
