New Family U Kicks Off MTU Alumni Reunion

Discover the properties of copper. Explore a skeleton using forensic science.

That’s just some of the activities taking place during the new Family U Wednesday at Michigan Tech.

Family U kicks off this week’s Alumni Reunion. The event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesay (Aug. 2).

Generations will come together for a day of fun and learning on the Michigan Tech campus. The program is specially created for children going into fifth grade and older and their families.

Families will arrive at 9 a.m., with the first activity taking place from 9:20 to 10:30 a.m. in the R.L. Smith Building (MEEM) room 203.
They will then go to a Biological Sciences activity from 10:30 to 11:50 a.m. in MEEM 1101.

Lunch will be served for the families from noon to 12:50 p.m. at Wadsworth Hall.

Families will then head to the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum to participate in a copper activity at the Phyllis and John Seaman Garden from 1 to 2:10 p.m.

The last activity of the day will take place from 2:20 to 3:15 p.m. at the Memorial Union Building Makerspace.
