Negotiations With Givens Resume

Negotiations with the city of Hancock’s choice for their next city manager are back on.

Councilman Paul LaBine said after initial negotiations had broken down with former Hancock mayor Barry Givens, the city reached out to him with a newly formed committee consisting of LaBine and Councilmen Ron Blau and John Haeussler.

Together they discussed the issues which created the impasse and breakdown but LaBine did not provide further details.

LaBine said negotiations are now moving forward in a positive direction.
