Munising Resident Rescued from Ice

A 17-year-old boy is safe after nearly falling through the ice on Munising Bay last evening.

James Zielinski was about 50 feet from the Munising City Dock when the ice beneath his feet began to crack.

He called 9-1-1.

The Alger County Rescue 21 team used its Rapid Deployment Craft to bring Zielinski to safety. Zielinski was treated for low body temperature.
