A local Michigan Tech engineering student has been honored by a trade organization. SAE International recently recognized Cora J. Taylor for her contributions to Michigan Technological University’s Formula SAE® Team. Formula SAE is a series of competitions that challenge teams of university students to conceive, design, fabricate, develop, and compete with small, formula-style vehicles. Taylor served on the business, composites, and chassis sub-teams before becoming team president in her final year.
Taylor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech, and is pursuing a Master’s degree, with an emphasis on study and research of noise, vibrations, and harshness. She also serves as a teaching assistant.
