Michigan Tech’s Midyear Commencement Ceremony will be held tomorrow morning at 10:30 at the SDC.
Tech alumna and vice-president Brenda Ryan will be the keynote speaker.
The student speaker will be Jailynn Johnson, who is graduating with a chemistry major and a math minor.

Northern Michigan University’s Midyear Commencement Ceremony will begin tomorrow at 10:30 at the Superior Dome.
Assistant professor of wildlife ecology Diana J.R. Lafferty will be the faculty keynote speaker. She was chosen in a vote by students.
Jeffrey W. Ferrington will be the student speaker – the first to receive the honor after completing an online degree.
Northern will also confer an honorary Doctorate in Nursing degree upon Linda Thompson. Thompson is currently the president of Westfield State University in Massachusetts. In her previous job as dean of nursing at Oakland University, Thompson was instrumental in creating NMU’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
