Two Detroit natives will address graduates at Michigan Tech’s Midyear Commencement ceremony Saturday.
The student speaker will be Jailynn Johnson, who is graduating with a chemistry major and a math minor. She came to Tech from Detroit Renaissance High School.
Board of Trustees Vice-Chair Brenda Ryan will be the keynote speaker. Ryan is a 1976 metallurgical and materials engineering graduate, and owns multiple businesses.
The university will award degrees to 292 undergraduate and more than 150 graduate students Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Student Development Complex.
