The Michigan Tech Staff Council recently handed out its annual Making a Difference Awards.
– The Above and Beyond award went to Elizabeth Hoy from the Great Lakes Research Center.
– The Behind the Scenes honor went to residence hall custodian Tammy Monette.
– The Legacy award went to Chemical Engineering departmental coordinator Alexis Snell.
– The Outstanding Leader honor went to Admissions director Allison Carter.
– The Rookie award went to Mechanical Engineering research engineer Rachel Store.
– The Serving Others honor went to Valoree Gagnon of the Great Lakes Research Center. – Two Unsung Hero awards were given – one to George Hommowun of the Rozsa Center, and the other to Karma Kilpela from the Air Force ROTC office.
