Michigan Tech Enterprise Corporation has announced the resignation of CEO Daniel I. Jamison IV, effective October 27th.
Jamison was appointed CEO in December of 2018, replacing Marilyn Clark.
Jamison said he’s leaving, to pursue other high tech opportunities, and hopes to set up more business in the Keweenaw.
Since taking over, Jamison’s efforts have focused on supporting Tech’s researchers, students and intellectual property leaders, along with re-aligning MTEC’s service, education and facilities.
Eric Waara, Chairman of MTEC’s Board of Directors, said “The fact MTEC has added 11 new clients this calendar year despite the COVID-19 environment is incredible.”
Mr. Jamison is the fourth CEO since MTEC was started in 2002 as a collaborative effort between the cities of Hancock and Houghton.
