Motorcycle Accident Near Bridge In Houghton

One person was injured when a motorcycle collided with another vehicle Monday morning in Houghton.

The accident happened shortly after 11am near the Portage Lake Lift Bridge at the intersection of Shelden Avenue and West Memorial Drive, slowing down traffic from the downtown.

One person on the motorcycle was taken away by ambulance.

There’s been no word on the person’s condition.

Houghton City Police, Michigan State Police, Michigan Tech Police and Mercy EMS assisted on the scene.
