Gasoline prices in our region are among the lowest in the state right now. AAA Michigan’s survey places the cost of a gallon of unleaded regular at $2.47 in the Marquette metro region.
That’s two cents higher than a week ago, but 12 cents below the statewide average. It’s five cents less than a month ago, and 25 cents higher than a year ago.
Keweenaw County is again the highest in the state, at $2.92 per gallon. Houghton County is at $2.54, Ontonagon County at $2.60, and Baraga County at $2.46.
