The only Democrat candidate for Michigan’s 1st Congressional District will not be on the ballot in August.
Candidate Matt Morgan will have to run as a write-in during the primary election after his appeal was denied last week by the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Morgan’s nomination petition had been tossed out by the state Board of Canvassers because his address was listed as a P.O. Box.
If successful as a write-in candidate in the August primary, Morgan would still appear on the November ballot in a challenge to incumbent Republican Jack Bergman.
