More New Buses For Hancock Transit

The City of Hancock may soon have a completely updated transit fleet.

The city council approved new contract with MDOT at their regular meeting Wednesday which will allow the city to get two new buses.

Hancock City Manager Glenn Anderson said increases in the state’s budget for transit has made funding for new buses more available.

The city currently has a 2013 bus but Anderson said there is a good chance that the city will get funding to replace that one by the end of the year.

That would give the city their first updated and complete fleet since they started the transit in 2003.
