Michigan’s First High Water Coordinating Summit Convenes

Officials from federal, state and local agencies met at the first High Water Coordinating Summit, and have pledged to share resources and ideas, to help residents deal with Michigan’s near record high water levels.

The summit, convened by Governor Whitmer, will collaborate to identify available assets that can be used in response to high water incidents and streamline communications between government agencies, so residents will have the proper information, in a timely manner.

Town hall Meetings are expected to take place throughout the state this Spring.

If current predictions become reality, Michigan water levels could break a 120 year old record.
