An internal search has led Michigan Tech to pick Dr. Will Cantrell as their new Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School, starting on July 1st.
This, according to Provost Jacqueline Huntoon.
Cantrell has worked at Michigan Tech since 2001, when he began as an associate professor in the physics department.
He is currently a full professor in the department, and is also the associate dean of the graduate school, and the director of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences Institute.
From 2008-2018, he served as Director of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program.
Dr. Cantrell said this about his new position.
Cantrell replaces Dr. Pushpa Murthy, who is retiring.
