Michigan Tech starts a week-long celebration honoring this year’s Faculty Award Winners.
The Bhakta Rath Research Award went to Sanaz Habibi and Adrienne Minerick.
The Bhakta Rath Research Award began in 2010 as an endowment from Dr. Rath and his wife, Sushama, which promotes excellence in scientific and engineering research in the field of physical and natural sciences and engineering.
The Diversity Award went to Joan Schumacher-Chadde.
The Diversity Award recognizes the accomplishments of a faculty or staff member of the University who contributes to diversity and inclusion through exemplary leadership and actions.
The Michigan Tech Research Award went to David Shonnard. The Research Award highlights an individual’s achievements made toward the advancement of knowledge, or the state of scholarship as evidenced by either a sustained productive scholarly endeavor or a single noteworthy breakthrough in research results.
The University Professor Award was given to Yoke Khin Yap.
The University Professor title showcases faculty members who have made outstanding scholarly contributions to the University and their discipline over a substantial amount of time.
