Michigan Tech Graduate Engineering Programs Rise in US News Rankings

Michigan Technological University’s College of Engineering has been ranked among the top 100 graduate engineering schools in US News & World Report’s new “Best Graduate School” rankings.   Michigan Tech ranked 85th of 214 engineering schools that grant doctoral degrees.

“We are glad to see that these rankings continue to recognize the excellent education our students receive,” said College of Engineering Dean Wayne Pennington.

Five engineering specialties—chemical, civil, computer, environmental and materials engineering—rose in the rankings.  Biomedical engineering was not ranked. Electrical and mechanical engineering rankings dropped slightly.
