Michigan Tech enters Step Three of their Return to Campus Plan on Monday.
Step Three is the final step, in which Michigan Tech resumes campus operations, in preparation of the Fall semester that begins on August 23rd.
Students and staff will be following the Health and Safety Levels system, when operations resume.
Step Three also allows visitors on campus, provided they fill out a COVID-19 Visitor Tracking Form, each time they visit the campus.
Joel Issacson, senior associate athletic director said “Our first priority is the safety of our students, faculty and staff, and this is part of ensuring that.”
Visitors will fill out the form, which asks for their name, email address, phone number and reason for the visit.
The form will also ask visitors if they know or suspect they have been in contact with anyone suffering from COVID-19, and will track symptoms of each visitor.
Once the form is filled out, it will send an email to the visitor with a confirmation number.
The number must be on the visitor, while they’re on campus, and will keep track of visitors.
While on campus, visitors are subject to the same rules as students, faculty and staff, meaning they must wear masks or facial coverings, maintain 6 foot distances between themselves and follow any other orders set forth by the governor.
Students do not need prior approval for visitors, but guests must fill out the Visitor Tracking Form before they arrive on Campus.
Students, faculty and staff, must continue to fill out a Daily Symptom Monitoring Form.
