Michigan Tech Community Holding Unity March

Michigan Tech students and members of the community will hold a Unity March Thursday.

The march is part of a nationwide show of support for those affected by President Donald Trump’s executive order banning travel from seven predominantly Muslim nations.

A stay on the ban was enacted in federal court and the White House has appealed the ruling.

Participants will meet at 5pm at the Husky Statue on Michigan Tech’s campus and walk down College Avenue to the Miners Statue then back to campus, walking two by two.

Organizers ask the participants bring signs of a positive nature and stress that this march is a show of solidarity and not a protest of the ban.
