Michigan Tech To Celebrate World Water Day

Water is the earth’s most precious resource and there’s no place with as much fresh water as the Great Lakes region.

But threats to our water abound.  World Water Day—being celebrated at Michigan Tech and around the world on March 22nd—will show ways how we can make the most of our water.

Assistant Professor of Economics Latika Gupta says the theme of this year’s event is Wastewater.

Michigan Tech has several days of events planned for World Water Day. For a full schedule and more information on the panelist, wastewater competition and the keynote speaker, click here.

You can also hear the entire interview on World Water Day with Dr. Gupta, Joan Chadde, the Director of the Center for Science and Environmental Outreach, and Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Daisuke Minakata by going to the Copper Country Today page on our website.

The interview will also air this Sunday at 7am on 97.7 The Wolf, at 8am on 1400AM/99.3FM WCCY and at 9am on K-Bear 102.3.
