Michigan now has 110 cases of COVID-19, along with their first death from the virus.
A Wayne County man in his 50’s, who had ongoing health concerns, was Michigan’s first death.
Governor Whitmer offered condolences to the victims’ family.
Governor Whitmer also said the decisions that have been made recently, were not easy, and that they were based on the latest information the scientific community had to offer.
The Governor took a moment to thank the people who are working tirelessly to keep the state moving, during the state of emergency.
To date, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has no known cases of the virus.
